"We're not interested in a fair fight with anyone," Gen Hodges said. "We want to have overmatch in all systems. I don't think that we've fallen behind but Russia has closed the gap in certain capabilities. We don't want them to close that gap."

С одной стороны, ле женераль "беня"Ходжес считает что Европа находится под угрозой со стороны России
с другой, США хотят быть заведомо самыми крутыми пацанами на районе, и принципиально не хотят, чтобы кто-то попытался встать вровень с ними.
но никакой угрозы для себя этот "кто-то"ощущать при этом не должен, ага.
